Controlling Swarms toward Flocks and Mills

چکیده
Self-organization and control around flocks mills is studied for second-order swarming systems involving self-propulsion potential terms. It shown that through the action of constrained control, it possible to any initial configuration a flock or mill. The proof builds on an appropriate combination several arguments: LaSalle invariance principle Lyapunov-like decreasing functionals, linearization techniques, quasi-static deformations. A stability analysis system guides design feedback laws stabilization mills, which are also assessed computationally.

متن کاملControlling Parent Systems Through Swarms Using Abstraction
This study considers the control of parent-child systems where a parent system is acted on by a set of child systems with their own inputs. Examples of such systems include a swarm of robots pushing an object over a surface, a swarm of aerial vehicles carrying a large load, or a set of end effectors manipulating an object. In this paper, a general framework for decoupling the swarm from the par...

متن کاملWhat Types of Interactions do Bio-Inspired Robot Swarms and Flocks Afford a Human?
This paper uses simulations to identify what types of human influence are afforded by the flocking and swarming structures that emerge from Couzin’s bio-inspired model [4]. The goal is to allow a human to influence a decentralized agent collective without resorting to centralized human control. Evidence is provided that, when nominal agents use switching-based control to respond to human-guided...
متن کاملFlocks of Cones: Star Flocks
The concept of a flock of a quadratic cone is generalized to arbitrary cones. Flocks whose planes contain a common point are called star flocks. Star flocks can be described in terms of their coordinate functions. If the cone is “big enough”, the star flocks it admits can be classified by means of a connection with certain blocking sets of Rédei type.
